FAQs & Support - PS2 Version
CUSTOMISATION SAVING ISSUE
You may experience an issue with
Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition where your customisations may be lost.
This typically occurs after you setup your customisations and then go into a
Competition, World Cup, or Franchise game.
Your customisations will work for your new Competition, World Cup or Franchise
game. If you however start a new game your previous customisations will no
longer be there with all settings resetting back to default.
There is
a workaround to the problem which requires you to have 2 memory cards. 1
for your game and 1 to backup your customisations.
Please follow the procedure
below to backup your customisations.
- Insert two memory cards into your ps2
console
- Load Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition
- Create or customise your teams/players
- Accept and save your customisations.
- Quit out of the game and reboot your console making sure to remove the
CD from the console.
- Enter into the Playstation "BROWSER". You will see two memory cards.
- Browse Memory Card 1 (on the left side of the screen)
- Copy the RL2-WCE SETTINGS file over to Memory Card 2 (Be sure to copy
the "SETTINGS" file - The file name will contain the word "SETTINGS"
- You now have a backup of your customisations.
- Insert the Game CD and restart the console
- You will now be able to start a new Competition, Franchise or World Cup
with your customisations in place. You will be able to save your
progress and return at anytime with your customisations intact.
- Once you finish a Competition/Franchise or World Cup, you may want to
restore your customisations back to your memory card in order to re-use them
again.
- To restore your customisations do the reverse of step 8 above.
Copy the RL2-WCE SETTINGS file from Memory Card 2 to Memory Card 1.
Overwrite the existing file on Memory Card 1 when prompted.
- Insert the game CD and restart the Console.
- The game should now load with your customisations back in effect.
You can now edit/change your customisations if you wish to, and start a new
Competition, World Cup or Franchise Game.
Please note you will need
to restore your backup settings file each time you start a new Competition,
World Cup or Franchise game if you want to use your personalised customisations.
If you make additional
changes to your restored customisations, you will need to update your backup by
once again copying the settings file from Memory Card 1 to Memory Card 2.
Use Memory Card 1 for saving game progress.
Only use memory card 2 to restore your backup when required.
Memory Card 2 can still be used for saving data
from your other Playstation 2 games.
