General Issues

PROBLEM SOLUTION
My control pad lets me move through the menus and select various options but it won’t let me start a game. Try disabling any profiling software that came with your controller, the controller should work in the game without the need for profiling software.
The sound stutters and is sometimes crackly Download the latest drivers for your sound card. Out of date drivers can cause problems with in-game commentary and sound effects.

My game wont load, or I get error messages like:

"Conflict with Disc Emulator software detected.” or
“A required security module cannot be activated this program cannot be executed (number)”

This problem is caused because the game security has detected cd cloning software on your pc, or your cd is not a genuine copy.

Firstly, check that you have a genuine copy of the game.

Secondly, disable any cd cloning/emulator software that you may have running on your pc. Examples of emulation software include “Clone CD”, “Alcohol 120%”, “Daemon Tools”, or “Paragon CD Rom Emulator”. To disable these tools, right click on the program icon in the windows desktop taskbar, and then click on “exit” or “close”.
The video scenes won’t play correctly, the colors are blocky, or my game performance is jerky and slow.

Download and install the latest drivers for your video card. Most video related problems are caused by old and outdated video card drivers. If the new drivers don’t improve the game performance, select a lower graphics setting in the game options
When I try to load my game I get a directx 8.1. error and the game shuts down. Download and install the latest drivers for your video card. This is caused by an issue between your video driver and direct X.

Online Issues

PROBLEM SOLUTION
When I try to login to play online the game seems to freeze. The game is most likely being blocked by your firewall software. Hold down the ALT Key, and then Press Tab (while holding down the ALT key) to cycle into any background applications that may be running. Check that your firewall software has not popped up asking you to grant internet access to the game. If there is a popup from your firewall software, set it to allow access to the game.
Online performance is really slow and lags during game play. For best game performance we recommend a minimum of 128k upload/download speed. For optimal online gaming it is recommended that the player with the fastest internet connection creates the match and hosts the player with the slower connection.
